Danielle Drake, she/her, a Senior Staff Social Worker, at CAPS Calhoun. She is the Clinical Specialization Coordinator and liaison to the Dean of Students office. Danielle is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) in Ohio and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Kentucky.
Danielle earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Sociology and a Master of Social Work at Northern Kentucky University. She brings a rich background in both clinical and community settings. Her experience includes psychiatric and medical social work in the emergency department of a level 1 trauma center, child protective services, and liaison for juvenile drug court—roles that have shaped her ability to remain grounded and supportive in high-intensity environments.
Danielle offers trauma-informed, solution-focused support to individuals in crisis, guided by cultural humility and a calm, grounded presence. She integrates motivational interviewing and resource linkage to help individuals identify their goals, reclaim their voice, and build on their innate resilience. Danielle is known for her calm presence in crisis and her ability to foster safety, clarity, and connection during difficult moments.
