The University of Cincinnati welcomed seven new faculty members to the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the start of the 2025-2026 academic year.

Ahmed Khasawneh, PhD
Assistant Professor Educator, Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering
Research/Teaching Interests: Operations/optimization research, simulation modeling, data analytics, machine learning, production and manufacturing systems analysis, quality engineering and management, probability and statistics, dynamics, statics, and strength of materials
Ankit Mittal, PhD
Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Research/Teaching Interests: Microelectronics, integrated and analog circuit design, ASIC design, low-power electronics, energy harvesting, wireless security and communication, system modeling, Internet of Things (IoT)
Melinda Simon, PhD
