The Provost serves as the Chief Academic Officer at the University of Cincinnati, where excellence in teaching, research and innovation combine to provide exceptional academic opportunities for all students.  

With more than 50,000 students and 6,000 faculty, our offerings range across 15 colleges, University of Cincinnati Online and a consortium of state-of-the-art libraries. The Office of the Provost oversees all of their operations, and extends beyond that to manage academic and student services including enrollment.

UC joins national mental health initiative for college students

September 29, 2025

The University of Cincinnati has joined a national program aimed at strengthening mental health support for college students, becoming an official JED Campus as part of the university’s long-standing commitment to supporting student well-being. The JED Campus program, developed by the nonprofit Jed Foundation, helps colleges and universities evaluate and enhance their mental health, substance misuse, and suicide prevention efforts. The initiative guides schools through a four-year strategic process to build comprehensive systems of care.

University of Cincinnati named an Age-Friendly University

The University of Cincinnati has been recognized as an Age-Friendly University, joining a global consortium of more than 100 institutions of higher education committed to fostering age integration in teaching, research and community engagement.

UC unveils renovated chemistry building

September 4, 2025

Local media highlighted UC's reopening of one of its oldest buildings after $190 million in renovations that included new state-of-the-art laboratories, study spaces, energy efficiencies and conservation measures.
