The Hoffman Legacy
Hugh Hoffman, MBA '63
Hoffman Honors Scholars Program scholarships are supported by a generous endowment from the estate of Hugh Hoffman, MBA ’63. Mr. Hoffman’s personal focus on community, travel, and education will be foundational for students in HHS. His gift will support students in three UC colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College-Conservatory of Music, and the Carl H. Lindner College of Business.
Mr. Hoffman, a fourth-generation Cincinnati resident, continued a legacy of family giving to UC that began in 1930. He worked as a broker and investment advisor; he also remained active in his hometown community throughout his life, through volunteer work, philanthropic activities, and season-ticket attendance for multiple Bearcats teams.
In Fall 2024, we welcomed our inaugural cohort of twelve students, who laid the foundation for what we can expect from this program for years to come. We are proud to welcome a cohort of twenty-two incoming students in Fall 2025. These and future HHS cohorts will build global awareness through international travel, develop skills in leadership and problem solving, and learn through service projects as well as internships and co-op opportunities.
