SOCHE Steps for UC Students
1. Complete UC Cross-Registration Authorization Form
Fill out the Consortium Cross–Registration Authorization Form. (If you need assistance with filling out a PDF form, check out our Adobe Acrobat Reader Applications and Filling and Signing Electronic Forms links.)
- Obtain approval from your home college Assistant Dean/Academic Advisor (make certain the approval includes a course equivalency for the class being taken at the host institution)
- Obtain approval from the department if you intend to have the course (or courses) count towards the requirements of your major
2. Email UC Cross-Registration Form to UC Registrar's Office
Send your completed UC Cross-Registration Authorization Form to registrar@uc.edu.
3. You Are Enrolled in an MLTI Placeholder Class
The UC Registrar's Office will enroll you in a placeholder class.
- If you are taking an undergraduate class, you will be enrolled in MLTI 4081.
- If you are taking a graduate class, you will be enrolled in MLTI 6081.
- All students will be enrolled for the equivalent number of credit hours that will be transferred back to UC (e.g., if you will be receiving 3 credit hours for an undergraduate class taken at Cincinnati State, you will be enrolled in MLTI 4081 for 3 credit hours)
4. Sign the SOCHE Cross Registration Form
The UC Registrar's Office will send you a SOCHE Cross Registration Form to your UC email. Once received, sign the form. Other schools will not accept the form without your signature.
5. Send SOCHE Form to the Host Institution Registrar's Office
Deliver the Cross-Registration Form to the appropriate host institution’s Registrar’s Office to complete your registration process at the host institution. Make sure you follow any additional instructions they may give you.
