📢 Fall 2025 Annual Shred Events – Protect Your Information!
UC’s Office of Information Security (OIS) provides document shredding events to all students, faculty, and staff. You are invited to drop off professional or personal documents to ensure they are securely destroyed and recycled.

Properly disposing of sensitive documents is a crucial step in safeguarding personal and university information. Take advantage of our free shredding service to securely discard confidential papers and reduce the risk of identity theft.

📅 Event Dates & Locations:
- Tuesday, October 7, 2025 – Bearcat Commons Lot A (behind the Arts & Sciences Building)
- Tuesday, October 28, 2025 – Panzeca Way (reserved spaces outside of the Health Sciences Building)
🗑️ What to Bring:
Sensitive papers for secure disposal and recycling
⚠️ Preparation Guidelines:
Remove all metal items (paper clips, hanging file folders).
Staples are OK.
Remove plastic items (comb bindings, transparencies, Polaroid pictures, Tyvek envelopes).
If it cannot be torn, it cannot be shredded.

At our most recent events in 2024, we successfully shredded 19,300 pounds of documents.
