College of Arts & Sciences research centers uniting for impact

UC’s College of Arts and Sciences is home to 12 research centers, which are moving forward study of machine learning and AI, environmental sciences, cyber strategy, urban policy, civility in public discourse, and more. Each center has impact on our local communities and beyond. But what if they joined forces to expand their impact—locally, regionally and beyond? The new A&S Action Collaborative is setting out to answer that question.

HEAPY goes all in on UC’s talent pipeline

Ohio-based engineering and construction firm HEAPY opened an office at UC's 1819 Innovation Hub to help recruit more students for co-ops. Now UC students top HEAPY’s recruitment list, with Bearcats delivering high-impact projects right from the Cincinnati Innovation District in UC's backyard.

UC engineer named Zonta Amelia Earhart Fellow

August 26, 2025

Lynn Pickering was drawn to the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and Applied Science for its top-ranked cooperative education program. Her work in artificial intelligence has taken her around the world. Earning both her bachelor's and doctorate in aerospace engineering from UC, Pickering received the prestigious Zonta Amelia Earhart Fellowship to support her research in her final year.
