Registration for Visiting Students

If you wish to take classes at UC as a non-matriculated student—visiting or nondegree-seeking students not officially admitted into a UC program—you will need to complete a Basic Data Form. The information you provide on the Basic Data Form is required for us (the Office of the Registrar) to create your account and set you up as a non-matriculated student for the term in which you wish to register.

2) Wait for Your Login Credentials

Look for an email with your login credentials approximately two–three business days from the date you submitted your Basic Data Form. This email will include your Username and UCID. To access Catalyst—our student information system—your initial password will be Uc!mmddyyyy. You will be prompted to create your own password.

Your Username and password will be used to access all online student services. Your UCID is used for both academic and administrative purposes to ensure that you are correctly identified.

Password help can be found on the Digital Technology Solutions UC Username & Password webpage.

3) Complete the Financial Agreement

With your Username and UCID, you are ready to access Catalyst.

All students will need to complete a Financial Agreement prior to registering. You will find the Financial Agreement along with any other To Do items in your Tasks tile in Catalyst.

4) Register for Classes

You will be able to register during the published open enrollment dates for the term in which you wish to take classes.

Review the Registration How to Guide for videos and instructions for navigating the registration processes at UC.

To request an override of requisites, please follow the Class Permissions Procedures. It is up to the different colleges at UC to grant permission that will override the requisites—if they feel it is appropriate.

Please note: The Office of the Registrar is unable to process permissions requests.
